Review: Right Where You Are by L.E. Bross

Avery Melrose is used to having it all. So when her boyfriend cheats on her, she reacts like any spoiled rich girl-she freaks out and vandalizes his new truck, Carrie Underwood style. Now she's stuck with 300 hours of community service doing road-side garbage duty.

Seth Hunter just got out of prison, and after a few hundred hours picking up litter on the side of the highway, he can finally put his mistakes behind him. If he can string together some kind of existence, maybe it'll be enough to get his sister away from their stepfather, the man who sent Seth to prison in the first place.

A romance between these two is doomed from the start. Girls like Avery want castles and white horses, and Seth is no prince charming.

But sometimes, being around Avery makes Seth think he could make something of himself. Maybe even be worthy of a girl like her. It's just too bad real life gets in the way first, tearing these two apart before they have any chance of getting to Happily Ever After.

Why is this the first novel I've come across by L.E. Bross? Where the hell has this author been my whole life? How could I not know about her?!? This just floors me. There are just so many unknown to me authors that are amazing and leave me cursing all of the lost time I've had not reading their books.

Here's the deal ... I gave this thing five stars because it's pretty badass. I could go on and on about how much I love the characters and how Bross writes an AMAZING flawed character or how the book kept me interested throughout the entire thing and how I didn't skip one paragraph/sentence/period in the whole darn book. I'll be honest, I can't pick out the things that I loved about the book because I loved everything about this whole book.

I enjoyed the story. A lot. Like I said, there wasn't really any slow point where I just wished that the book would move along and there weren't any spots where I felt like information was missed or something important was skipped over. Everything was just perfect. I couldn't have wished for a better written or more thought out novel.

The characters were ... you guessed it ... amazing. Both Avery and Seth were completely screwed up. Maybe in different ways but their lives were on a one-way track to despair until they met each other. I'm always going on and on about how a great author can write a perfectly flawed character and either drag them down further or pick them up. Watching both transformations is completely mesmerizing to me. I want to go into more depth about the characters but at the same time, I don't want to ruin it ... I will say this ... you will fall super hard for Seth and Avery and you'll love their love story almost as much as they do.

I've waxed poetic enough about the book. It's good, you should read it and if you don't, you're a weirdo who doesn't enjoy a good romance novel. This is one of my all-time faves! So quit reading this and go get it.

* I received this novel in exchange for an honest review *
